Atlas was a beautiful German Shepherd puppy who died from hemorrhaging and numerous fractures. In only 3 months, the little puppy had suffered traumatic injuries at least 3 times before finally drying from allegedly being beaten to death.
According to the Courier Post, the Shamong New Jersey owner, Reid M. Herjo, was pulled over for speeding on January 22, 2018 and police became suspicious of him when Atlas was seen in the vehicle injured. At that time, Reid told officers the puppy had been hit by an ATV. The puppy died on February 3, 2018. According to authorities, the puppy had sustained additional trauma due to severe abuse.
