Bane is a Veteran K9 soldier, a German Shepherd Dog.
According to News 12 Connecticut, Bane was hit by a truck on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 while walking with his handler, Dean More.
Bane has been deployed to both Afghanistan and Iraq, and his medical bills are likely to cost at least $10,000.

I don’t think that News 12 understands how the Internet works. When a story like this goes out and thousands of people see it, people from all over the world want to donate. If you know of a safe way people can donate to Bane online, please email me or comment below with additional information. This seems like a great cause and we’d love to know more. I also wonder if the trucker’s insurance company could be held liable for medical bills and if the dog’s handler has spoken to a personal injury attorney about this.
