450 German Shepherd Dogs Rescued After Horrific Discovery

Belinda Powell of Middle, Georgia has been charged with animal cruelty after 450 German Shepherd Dogs were discovered in her possession.

According to AJC, the dogs were living in mud and feces up to your knees with nowhere dry to stand.

Sadly, some of the dogs were so neglected and abused they have severe injuries which will require months of medical treatment and others had to be euthanized.

Prior to all of the dogs being discovered, the number of dogs was thought to be 165. Such a large number made national news across the United States. That number has now increased to an unimaginable 450.

The Atlanta Humane Society is actually using this German Shepherd found at the property as their new poster / Facebook cover photo:

The Atlanta Humane Society’s Veterinarian and Animal Cruelty Unit Staff was on site to assist. Other rescue groups included Animal Aid USA & Animal Law Source.
